These are the most popular airplane seats everyone wants to book: poll

These are the literal hot seats.

While the best airline seats may seem obvious, seat preference often depends on the passenger. As a flyer service, travel site Upgrade Points surveyed American travelers to see which countries they prefer overall.

“From window seats to exit rows, our airplane seat survey has revealed the preferences and pet peeves of flyers across the country,” the experts wrote.

To determine the favorite thrones of the sky, the flight gurus surveyed 3,142 American travelers for a week from June 14 to June 20. They showed respondents a map of Boeing 737-800 seats and asked them to choose their most requested location.

A whopping 41% of respondents were “willing to accept the added responsibility of sitting in a row for the extra legroom and peace of mind of being close to a quick exit in case of an emergency,” according to the site. asiandelight – stock.adobe.com

The survey found that seat 1A – a first class window seat – was the top choice among participants. This was perhaps unsurprising given that this seat offers “ample legroom, easy bathroom access, a window view and the advantage of being one of the first on and off the plane,” via Enhanced Points .

Close behind were 7A and 7F respectively as these coach class seats also offer plenty of legroom.

“Parents with small children often favor seats in row 7, as they provide additional space for movement and easier access to the overhead bins,” UP experts write. “Additionally, by being at the front of a section, seats in most of Row 7 often experience less foot traffic, providing a slightly quieter environment for passengers.”

Meanwhile, 1F (a first-class window seat) came in fourth, followed by 7C (an economy aisle) in fifth.

In 6th and 7th place were 4F and 20A (exit row window seats), which UP attributed to increased legroom and the fact that exit rows tend to have more empty seats, offered more space.
