A new Banksy has appeared in west London – showing a goat balancing precariously on a tall, thin wall.
The animal appears to be moments from the fall – with rocks and rubble falling down from a height.
Shortly after the artwork appeared on Kew Bridge, Banksy confirmed it was his by sharing a photo on Instagram.
The post has sparked a lot of speculation online – with many users pondering the meaning of the spectacle.
Art teacher Amber Doffman, 26, spotted the iconic street artist’s Instagram post about his new work.
She said she immediately recognized her location and immediately ran out the door to go and find her.
She said: “I saw his Instagram post 40 seconds after it was published and immediately knew where the art was.
“So I got in my car and ran over there. I was there 15 minutes after he posted on Instagram – and the paint was still wet.
Amber, who lives in Acton, said she had been writing to Banksy for years – and just a few months ago emailed him asking him to come to west London.
“I emailed him asking him to come to west London and now here he is,” said the teacher.
“I’ll tell myself I made it happen. I mean, maybe not – but it’s a big coincidence.
“I can’t believe he was standing there. It’s incredible.”
Amber added that she believes the artwork is a commentary on the environment.
She said: “I think it’s about the environment – and how we’ve destroyed it to the point where the animals don’t know where to go.
“It’s also worth noting that the security camera wasn’t facing that way before. Banksy has turned it towards the goat.
“It’s like she wants her attention.”
Amber said the occasion was particularly special to her – because he was the reason she started the career she did.
She said: “He is my idol and the reason I became an art teacher.
“I am beyond inspired by Banksy.
“I hope they cover it with Perspex immediately before someone destroys it – I’m so afraid it will be vandalised.”
