Disney Superfan Spends Over $10K Collecting Merchandise – Including 700 Cuddly Toys

Meet the Disney superfan who has spent more than £8,000 (roughly $10,000) on plushies, pins, vinyl and movies.

Ronni Carter, 19, has been a Disney fan since she got her first Eeyore cloth when she was one.

She found solace in Disney movies and enjoyed knowing that every story she watched would have a happy ending.

Since then, Ronni’s collection has grown and she estimates she had thousands of Disney collectibles including approximately more than 20 vinyls, 300 plushies and 35 Mickey Mouse ears.

Ron’s bedroom is decorated with her stuffed animals, she’s been to the movies for almost every Disney movie, and she’s seen The Princess and the Frog more than 200 times.

Ronni, a content creator, from Greenwich, London, said: “I grew up watching Disney and fell in love.

“I really like how you can enter a world and feel like you’re lost in this story.

“Everything is beautiful, it feels really magical. You can escape from this world to their world.

“The world we’re in right now is so dark and Disney is such an easy place to be.”

Ronni collects anything Disney-related, with one of her prized possessions being a roll of film from the original Piglet movie that was given to her as a gift.

She believes she has spent up to £8,000 on her collection so far and keeps her items in her bedroom and attic.

Ronni said: “I have Marvel toys, plushies, light ups and jewellery.

“My sister, Kerri, 22, is my best friend and she’s a huge Disney fan.

“We often help each other collect the things we want – we compare ourselves to Elsa and Anna from Frozen.”

Ronni has visited Disneyland Paris and said she was able to escape “to another world”.

Speaking about her favorite Disney film, Ronni said: “I love The Princess and the Frog.

“I saw it in the cinema when it came out, it has such a special place in my heart.

“I really like the messages behind the story.”

Ronni said Disney helped her get through a difficult time in 2023 when her grandfather died.

She said: “If you’re watching a Disney movie, you can immerse yourself in it.

“You realize you don’t have to worry about everything when you’re going to watch Disney.

“My grandfather wasn’t in Disney, but he loved music and really appreciated music in movies.

“My parents would also help me with my grandfather’s illness, as they would help me find rare plushies and help me with my collection.”
