Who is to blame when your luggage is lost? Well, labelyou are
Traveling the world in the friendly skies with your favorite and sturdiest suitcase can seem daunting to many experienced frequent flyers.
But a former flight attendant is now warning that making this common mistake is a surefire way for your goodies to disappear.
“The reason some bags get lost is because you didn’t remove the old luggage tags,” alleged former Delta Airlines flight attendant Elizabeth said in a trending TikTok newsletter.
“Always remember to remove the old tags if you don’t want your luggage to get lost,” she advised more than 11.7 million viewers.
The signalman, then, really did spill the tea—most disturbingly for the disgusting truth about airplane coffee and tea.
Discovering the secrets of the sky seems to give flight attendants their happy wings.
From sharing hacks on how to score the best meals by a mile to revealing why airplanes are always so cold, flight crew members are taking to social media to reveal once-confidential facts about cruising 30,000 feet in the air.
Before offering some important words in her video, Elizabeth explained that she was looking forward to “exposing everything [airlines] teach us to hide from you,” after he was recently fired from the role.
She then gave jet-setters some solid advice on how to enjoy cheaper and more hygienic travel.
“Never order ice on a plane,” demanded the brunette. “Airplane ice is contaminated with bacteria and e.coli.”
“Ice touches unsanitary surfaces like the bathroom ever since,” she added, “and the spoon never gets cleaned!!.”
Here’s Elizabeth’s list of cloud travel dos and don’ts.
- Don’t drink hot coffee or tea: “Watery ginger is never replaced and it gets moldy.” Just stay behind the water.”
- Dress nicely: “If you want special treatment from flight attendants, make sure you dress nicely. We notice how passengers are dressed and you’re more likely to get an upgrade or a free drink if you look presentable – never wear sweatpants and a hoodie.
- Give a gift: “We’re not allowed to accept tips. But if you wrote us a nice note with a small gift (like a bag of candy) you’ll likely get a special treat, too.”
- Just ask, “If you want extra meals, just ask for them. You’re not limited to just one snack – we’ll give you a handful of them.
- Don’t go barefoot: “Don’t take off your shoes or socks when using the toilet. We think it’s so gross because we see what happens there.”
- Keep costs low: “When looking for cheap flights, always make sure to clear your search history. The cheapest flights are always on Tuesdays.”
