She works hard for money.
Libby Denney, an intrepid mother of two from the UK, is on a mission to clean up her part of the world – one horrifying hoarding house at a time.
At least the pay for doing this dirtiest job is good, revealed the proud owner of Yorkshire’s The Clean Up Company – to the tune of $9,000 per disgusting flat.
“I’d say I’ve cleaned about 2,000 houses since I started,” Denney, 29, said.
Call her high fees risk pay — Denney, who has been cleaning houses since she was 19, regularly shows herself earning every penny on a hack-inducing TikTok account that tops 600,000 followers in some situations more strange that she is forced to endure.
“I had to clean a mattress where a man had been dead there for three months,” she told SWNS. “When there’s been a body, the smell can be horrible.”
Although disconcerting to many, Denney shrugs it off and gets the job done – while, believe it or not, he actually enjoys the job.
“It seems to be the only thing I’m good at in life,” she adds. “I loved it and took great pleasure in it – it came naturally to me.”
The spit and polish princess runs her business 9 to 5 five days a week, charging clients thousands of dollars and up per session, depending on how desperate the situation is.
“I’ve seen pretty much everything there is and I’m used to it,” she admitted.
The young entrepreneur can attribute her knack for cleaning to her father, Billy, who used to pick her up on his routes when she was younger in 2010.
“It was my father who got me into this business by going on a job with him and I’ve never looked back,” she said.
Although Denney is used to dealing with these “terrible living conditions” now, there was something of a learning curve, she confessed.
She’s noticed that homeowners tend to be “embarrassed” when they have to walk it through the house, but the guide allows her to see what’s going in. She has found worms, used needles and worse.
“There was adultery [diapers] once, which was soiled with sh-t and p-ss and the toilet flushed every time she flushed,” she revealed.
Sometimes, Denney finds himself cleaning a deserted house for an entire day or up to a week, but regardless of the energy expended, the most satisfying part of the job, aside from the sheer control, are the results.
“Before and after [pictures] they make the work so worthwhile,” she said.
